• Poisoning of the gas
Refers to a state of being poisoned by carbon monoxide, which is a colorless, odorless, tasteless, non-irritant gas generated by incomplete combustion.
Hypoxia occurs because inhaled carbon monoxide binds to hemoglobin instead of oxygen and oxygen can not be properly transported to each tissue.
